Humeniuk: Russians Reduce Intensity Of Shelling In Right-Bank Of Kherson Region

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) Russian troops have reduced the intensity of shelling of the right-bank part of the Kherson region.

Natalia Humeniuk, the head of the joint press center of the Southern Defense Forces of Ukraine, said this on the air of the telethon "United News", according to Ukrinform.

"There were no critical changes over the day. The enemy keeps focusing its efforts on three areas: Kherson, Beryslav and Ochakiv. Beryslav is being attacked with aerial bombs. The main artillery fire is taking place in the Kherson and Antonivka directions. The enemy has slightly reduced the intensity of shelling - from 90 to 60 attacks. As a rule, 300 to 400 shells per day. Civilian infrastructure and residential buildings are under fire," said Humeniuk.

She said that the Russian army has changed its tactics: in addition to artillery, it is using 'Lancet' attack drones. "They are trying to use air strikes to divert our attention a little bit. However, we are shooting down these attack drones," said Humeniuk.

She also said that over the past day, the Defense Forces destroyed seven Russian military personnel and eight items of equipment, including three reconnaissance drones. "The enemy was apparently collecting information and preparing for future attacks. Last night... there was a drone. And a missile strike is quite possible in the coming days," said Humeniuk.
