Protesters holds large march for “Freedom for Palestine” in London

(MENAFN) In opposition to Israel's "apartheid policies" as well as the Israeli military's attack on the West Bank city of Jenin and its refugee camp, protesters held a large march in the heart of London on Wednesday.

They assembled outside the Israeli Embassy at 6 PM (1700 GMT) following receiving an "emergency protest call" from numerous organizations, holding posters that read "Freedom for Palestine," "End Apartheid," "Stand with Jenin," as well as "Stop the Massacre."

certain Orthodox Jews, certain socialist organizations, and Palestinian solidarity organizations like the Palestine Solidarity Campaign as well as the Palestine Forum in Britain were among the protesters.

Carol Turner, a representative of the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament (CND), spoke at the event and outlined the organization's opposition to the Israeli occupation and its backing for a free Palestine.

She mentioned the UK's anti-boycott legislation, pointing out that it intends to penalise public entities that start boycotts against Israel, emphasizing how this "specifically protects Israel."
