Emirates Appoints New Area Manager For Bangladesh

Emirates has appointed Jaber Mohamed as the new Area Manager for Bangladesh, with effect from 1 August, and will take on the responsibility of leading the airline's operations, driving growth and strengthening Emirates' footprint in the country. He will replace Mohammed Al Hammadi, who will assume the role of Manager of Iran and Central Asia.

On Jaber's appointment, Ahmed Khoory, Emirates SVP of Commercial Operations - West Asia and Indian Ocean said:“I am pleased to welcome Jaber in his new role as Area Manager - Bangladesh. We have been operating in the country since 1986, and we look forward to Jaber's wealth of experience gained in our outstations which will help in driving growth of our operations in addition to online and offline sales. His mandate also includes nurturing relationships with our network of travel partners, which are critical to expanding our customer base and reach.”

“I would like to thank Mohammed Al Hammadi for his contributions to Emirates' success in the country and wish him luck in his new post,” continued Khoory.

Jaber joined Emirates in 2010 where he held several positions and across multiple markets. Jaber began his career with Emirates in a management training program, through which he gained in-depth knowledge in the aviation industry and he served as an Outstation Manager until 2012. Following that he served as Area Manager for Cyprus, Greece, Uganda, and Taiwan and as Country Manager for Philippines.

Jaber got his Bachelor degree in Law from the University of Sharjah in 2007. He completed a Diploma in Judicial Studies from the Institute of Training and Judicial Studies, part of the UAE's Ministry of Justice.

Dubai-based Emirates airline started its operations to Bangladesh in 1986 and currently offers 21 flights a week from Dhaka.
