Enjoy Thai Food Festival At The Westin Dhaka


(MENAFN- Bangladesh Monitor) Dhaka : The Westin Dhaka announces the highly anticipated Thai Food Festival titled 'Tastes of Thailand' currently being held till June 24, 2023 at the hotel's signature restaurant Seasonal Tastes.

Food diplomacy and culinary exchange are essential to strengthen bilateral tourism potentials between two countries. The authentic Thai dishes served at the food festival are to take the guests on an extraordinary culinary journey through the vibrant and rich flavours of Thailand.

Makawadee Sumitmor, Thai Ambassador to Bangladesh said this while inaugurating the food festival through a launch ceremony on June 11.

Md Shakawath Hossain, Chief Executive Officer, Unique Hotel and Resorts, and Stephane Masse, General Manager, The Westin Dhaka were also present on the occasion.

The festival features two foreign Master Chefs-Sophon Nakjaroen and Meenarat Chukum-as well as Thai food ingredients that The Westin Dhaka has brought from Thailand exclusively for the event to provide the guests with authentic Thai cuisine and the most genuine flavours with traditional techniques in the city, added Md Shakawath Hossain, CEO of the hotel's parent company.

At the festival, guests can enjoy an extensive array of over 50 authentic Thai dishes, ranging from savoury curries to refreshing salads, and exquisite desserts. The menu has been meticulously curated to ensure that every dish encapsulates the true essence of Thai cuisine, mentioned Stephane Masse, GM of the hotel.

The signature Thai items at the food festival include Gai satay, Neua Yang Bai Chaplu, Dom tum tod, Tod mun pla, Nam Prik, Thai Salads like Larb Gai, Yum woon sen, Tom Yum Goong, Nam sai soup along with live stations with Pad Thai and many other popular Thai dishes and desserts for the guests, noted one of the Thai Master Chefs Sophon Nakjaroen.

Guests attending the festival will also have the chance to interact with the guest Master Chefs, and learn the art of Thai cooking while discovering the secrets behind the country's signature dishes, said the hotel in a release.

Moreover, the festival features traditional Thai music and cultural performances, enhancing the overall ambiance, providing guests with a truly immersive culinary and cultural Thai experience.

The exclusive buffet dinner spread is priced at BDT 7500 net per person and guests can avail Buy One Get One (B1G1) and Buy One Get Two (B1G2) offers by using credit and debit cards from several partnering banks throughout the festival.
