Dubai, UAE: The Maritime Standard has published the latest edition of its well-respected and popular The Maritime Standard UAE Yearbook 2023/24. This is the biggest edition so far, packed with well-researched articles on all aspects of the UAE shipping and maritime sector, and was launched at the prestigious Nor-Shipping maritime conference and exhibition in Norway on June 6th to great acclaim. In addition to its extensive global circulation, the TMS Yearbook 2023/24 will be displayed at a number of other exhibitions and events over the coming year, raising the profile of the UAE's diverse and highly successful shipping maritime community on a global basis.

Trevor Pereira, Managing Director of The Maritime Standard, said,“We are very proud of this publication and the way it showcases the fantastic achievements of companies in this sector who are based in or active around the UAE. This is one of the most dynamic markets in shipping and maritime right now and the Yearbook really does it justice.”

Nor-Shipping was chosen as the ideal place to unveil the publication as it has such a high reputation within the industry, drawing top quality attendees from many different sectors and countries. Trevor adds,“It was the logical event to launch the publication, giving us the chance to showcase the achievements of the UAE's fast-growing maritime cluster to a receptive, and knowledgeable audience.”

The first copies of the Yearbook were presented by Trevor Pereira to a group of Nor-Shipping attendees, including Capt. Ammar Al Shaiba, CEO, Maritime Cluster and Safeen Group, AD Ports Group; Remi Erikson, Group President and CEO, DNV and Ali Shehab, Global Director of Special Projects and Services, DNV.

The Yearbook covers a wide range of maritime sectors active in the UAE, including shipping, ports, shipbuilding and repair, marine law and insurance, logistics and maritime services. Clive Woodbridge, Editor, says,“There has been a huge amount of progress within different segments of the UAE's shipping and maritime business over the last 12 months, particularly when it comes to green shipping and digitalisation. Consequently, this edition is a must-read publication for anyone with an interest in this business. The leadership of the UAE in making the transition to a zero carbon shipping and maritime industry is evident throughout the publication and is a testament to the wise leadership of the country in this context.”
