(MENAFN- UkrinForm) Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valerii Zaluzhnyi and Chairman of the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Mark Milley have discussed the supply of the necessary weapons to the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Ukraine's top commander said this in a post on telegram , Ukrinform reports.
"I had a phone call with Chairman of the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Mark Milley. I spoke about the situation at the front. Fierce defensive and offensive battles are ongoing in the east and south of our country. We have some success, we are implementing our plans, we are moving forward," Zaluzhnyi said.
He also noted that priorities for the Ukrainian army had been discussed ahead of another meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group. "It is important to strengthen air defenses, artillery and counter-battery capabilities. We agreed to continue the dialogue. I am thankful to General Milley for consistent and unwavering support for Ukraine," Zaluzhnyi wrote.
