Thales Qatar Appoints Fabrice De Bodard As CEO

Doha, Qatar: Thales announces the appointment of Fabrice de Bodard (pictured) as CEO of Thales Qatar.
In this role, he will be responsible for driving strategic growth of Thales across all domains, working with stakeholders to contribute to the country's ambitious National Vision, with a clear focus on local partnerships, innovation and digital transformation.
Thales continues to solidify its local presence, with the objective of serving the Qatar National Vision 2030, aimed at building an advanced and sustainable society, which provides a high standard of living for the Qatari people.
In March 2022, Qatar Free Zones Authority (QFZA) and Thales inaugurated the Thales Digital Competence Centre.
The centre serves as a hub for digital innovation across digital security, mobility, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity sectors.
"I am honoured to lead Thales sales and operations in Qatar in support of the Group's localisation strategy and in line with the Qatar National Vision 2030. Thales will continue to work with the State of Qatar to build resilient industries, invest in local innovation and foster local talent, to further embed Thales as a leading contributor to the Qatari ecosystem,” Fabrice de Bodard said.
Prior to this appointment, Fabrice de Bodard was CEO of Thales South Africa. He previously opened the Thales office in Abidjan, Ivory Coast and served as Africa Sales Director for Civil and Defense security systems. Earlier in his career, he held key sales positions for telecom and satellite operators in Europe, the Middle East and India.
