Turkish President Erdogan to Build Gas Hub with Russia for European Supply

The project, initially proposed by Russian President Vladimir Putin, aims to strengthen Turkey’s position as an international hub for energy distribution.

During a recent speech, Erdogan emphasized the significance of the project and highlighted Putin's mention of creating a hub in the Thrace region of Turkey. Erdogan expressed his commitment to working together with Russia to realize this vision, ensuring the establishment of a gas hub in Thrace.

Erdogan's re-election for a third term in office further solidifies his position as the Turkish President. In a congratulatory message to Erdogan, Putin acknowledged the Turkish leader's personal efforts in strengthening Russian-Turkish relations. Putin specifically praised the joint ventures of constructing Turkey’s first nuclear power plant and developing the gas hub as significant milestones in the bilateral partnership between the two countries.
