Iran’s non-oil yearly shipment to Armenia increases by 62.5 percent


(MENAFN) The cost of Iran’s non-oil shipment to Armenia increased by 62.5 percent in the last Iranian calendar year 1401 (ended on March 20), in comparison with the past year.

As mentioned in reports, Iran shipped commodities valued at USD478 million to Armenia in 1401, when the number stood at USD294 million in 1400.

Liquefied natural gasoline, iron and steel rods, bitumen, light oils and similar outputs, pure iron and steel outputs, bituminous mineral oils, floor coverings, liquid cream, linear alkylbenzene, as well as rebar were Iran’s main outputs shipped to Armenia in the previous year.

Iranian Labor and Social Welfare Minister Solat Mortazavi has stated that Tehran and Yerevan are resolute to benefit all their volumes to enlarge financial relations, Mortazavi commented while attending a gathering with his Armenian equivalent Narek Makratchian in Yerevan in the last days of February.

Regarding the goal of three billion dollars of yearly exchange among Iran and Armenia, Mortazavi stated that the growth of all-out relations with Armenia is one of the important matters of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
