Amman, May 8 (Petra) -Royal Jordanian Geographic Center (RJGC) won 2022-2023 Sharjah Prize in Public Finance in the institutional category- Distinguished Entity for Control, Auditing and Financial Risk Management.
RJGC's participation in the award is the first- of- its kind in the Arab world, which is organized by Sharjah Central Finance Department in the United Arab Emirates, in cooperation with the Arab Administrative Development Organization (ARADO).
Sharjah Crown Prince, His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, honored RJGC Director General, Brig. Gen. Muammar Haddadin, during a ceremony held at Sharjah Cultural Palace.
In his speech during the honoring ceremony, Haddadin said the RJGC's achievement reflects its "outstanding" performance in the regulatory and financial aspects, which comes in appreciation of its "distinguished" efforts at the institutional and individual levels and recognition of its "high and effective" performance.
Haddadin added that the center's honoring came for its commitment to excellence standards and requirements with control and financial operations, and its compliance with government financial audit work at the institutional level.
He also pointed to the award's importance to reveal the RJGC's strengths in the target fields and highlight key opportunities for development to reach the "highest" levels of performance excellence.
