Several countries launched their evacuation flights from Jordan, evacuating their citizens from Sudan to Amman, and then to their respective countries, a ministry statement said.

The Kingdom provided all necessary assistance to countries utilising Jordan as the base of their evacuation efforts to ensure the success of their operations. These included 10 German flights, seven Dutch flights and three Norwegian flights, carrying their nationals and 30 Jordanian citizens.

The Jordanian efforts come in implementation of His Majesty King Abduallah's directive to take all measures necessary to safeguard the security and safety of Jordanian citizens, and in the context of joint cooperation with other countries, comply with the Kingdom's commitment to its humanitarian role.

The Foreign Ministry affirmed that the Jordanian mission's staff remain stationed in Sudan to monitor the situation of Jordanians in-country and provide assistance to ensure their safe return to the Kingdom. The Jordanian mission is working in coordination with the ministry's operations unit within the framework of the joint national crisis cell that was formed in the beginning of the crisis, the ministry revealed.
