Dubai: Fire Breaks Out In Umm Ramool Area

A fire broke out in a warehouse of cleaning supplies in Dubai's Umm Ramool area on Friday afternoon. The blaze was put under control in less than an hour, according to authorities.

Residents took to Twitter to report the incident, sharing photos of dark plumes of smoke rising from the site.

The Dubai Civil Defense Operation Center was notified of the incident at 4.28pm, and the first responders from Al Rashidiya fire station reached the site within 5 minutes. The Port Saeed Station , Al Karama station and Al Qusais station were also mobilised for backup and support.

Videos posted on Twitter show smoke rising from the site at a distance as vehicles make their way towards Dubai Festival City and Al Rashidiya and Sharjah via Al Garhoud Road.

The Field Commander confirmed that at 5.04pm, the blaze is under control and no injuries were reported
