(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA))  RIYADH, April 12 (KUNA) -- Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Jasem Al-Budaiwi affirmed Wednesday the importance of the active role of the GCC health council in reinforcing cooperation and integration to achieve the desired goals.
During a meeting held at the GCC Secretariat in Riyadh, Al-Budaiwi discussed with GCC Health Council Director General Suliman Al-Dekheel ways of boosting joint coordination in the health field and ways to enhance health care services in GCC countries, the Secretariat said in a statement.
It pointed out that they also discussed the best ways to reach the desired goals of the consultative meeting of the GCC Health Ministers Committee, which is scheduled to be held in May 2023, and discussed the efforts exerted to activate the program (the Malaria-Free Arabian Peninsula). (end)
