Situation In Ukraine's South Remains Stably Tense - Army Spox

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) The situation in the south of Ukraine remains stably difficult but the Ukrainian Defense Forces hold their ground.

That's according to Natalia Humeniuk, head of the joint press center of Operational Command South, who spoke at the national telethon, Ukrinform reports.

"The situation in the south of Ukraine remains stably difficult but it is controlled by our Defense Forces, despite the fact that the enemy continues their airstrikes. In particular, last night the Russian Federation again attacked Kherson region using guided aerial bombs. The Russians struck agricultural lands and industry facilities," she said.

According to Humeniuk, there were no casualties last night.

"The past day was characterized precisely by strikes, including air strikes involving drones, which, while on reconnaissance missions, also drop VOGs. The Russian Federation is actively hitting critical infrastructure and health care facilities," said the head of the joint press center.

That is, the Russians, disregarding the rules and norms of international humanitarian law, pursue their terror tactics, she added.

As reported, on Friday, the Russian army attacked the center of Beryslav, damaging residential buildings and a department store. An ambulance vehicle that was on its way to a resident's call also came under fire. Three people were wounded, including two paramedics.

First Deputy Chairman of the Kherson Regional Council, Yuriy Sobolevskyi, said that the number of wounded in Kherson region as a result of the latest attack by Russian troops on Beryslav has increased to eight.
