Doha: The open theatre in Katara will host at 10pm next Saturday a lecture by Sheikh Othman Al Khamis, which he will deliver as part of the Katara Ramadan activities organised by Katara under the title,“The Spring of the Qur'an” in cooperation with the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs.

On the other hand, the daily religious lectures hosted by the Katara Mosque continued, in the midst of a heavy presence and a high spiritual atmosphere overflowing with faith and tranquillity.

Sheikh Dr. Abdul Hai Yusuf explained that the word charity does not come to the mind of many other than the giving that the rich, affluent gives to the poor in need, pointing out that charity is divided into two types: the first relates to what is between a person and his creator, and the second is between a person and Allah's creation.

The first is considered the highest level of religion, which is that you worship Allah as if you see him, and if you do not see him, then he sees you. Pointing out that the most prominent example of this is the worship of fasting that is being performed in the blessed month of Ramadan.

He stressed that the good believer fasts for Allah out of faith and in anticipation of reward, whether Ramadan comes in summer or winter, in heat or cold, among his family or strangers to them, whether the day is long or short, charity is manifested at its highest levels and its finest meanings.
