Kuwaitis Urged To Avoid Traveling To Equatorial Guinea, Tanzania Due To Marburg Outbreak


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, April 1 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's Foreign Ministry on Saturday appealed to its nationals to avoid traveling to Tanzania and Equatorial Guinea because of the Marburg virus outbreak.
The Kuwaitis in the two countries are also urged to abide by health and preventive measures announced by local authorities, the ministry said in a statement.
The statement was made following the two countries' announcement of detecting Marburg infection cases.
The Kuwaiti nationals in those countries are advised to contact Kuwait embassies in Tanzania and Gabon respectively if they need any assistance at: +255222923451 and +255745444844, and +24111443394 and +24162004949, the statement made clear. (end)
