Emergency Power Outages Introduced In Western Ukraine Due To Adverse Weather

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) In the morning of March 28, 2023, power generating facilities fully met the consumer needs, but emergency power outages were introduced in western Ukraine due to the damage caused to power grids by the adverse weather.

The relevant statement was made by the Ukrainian energy Ministry on telegram , an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“The generating facilities have the necessary capacity volumes to fully meet the needs of electricity consumers all over the country. In the Zhytomyr region, power supply restrictions may occur due to network infrastructure repairs. In western Ukraine, due to the adverse weather conditions and strong winds, power grids were reported damaged and, as a result, emergency power outages were introduced. Repair crews are already working and will gradually restore power supply services,” the report states.

According to the ministry, repair works are also underway in the frontline areas of the Donetsk, Kherson and Kharkiv regions, which had been affected by Russian attacks in recent days.

A reminder that Russian troops have launched 15 missile attacks and 18 drone attacks on Ukraine's energy infrastructure over six months.
