Russian Submarine Remains on Combat Duty in Black Sea

(MENAFN) Head of the United Coordinating Press Center of the Southern Defense Forces, Natalia Humeniuk, has announced that one Russian submarine remains on combat duty in the Black Sea. The submarine is equipped with four Kalibr-type cruise missiles, which are ready for use. Humeniuk made the statement during a nationwide telethon and noted that the weather conditions have forced the enemy's naval group to reformat and return to home stations. She added that the appearance of submarines on combat duty occurs at intervals of two to three hours.

Humeniuk highlighted the difficulty for air defense forces to detect a missile launched from a submarine. She called on Ukrainians to react promptly to air raid sirens, emphasizing the importance of being prepared for potential missile strikes. The continued threat of Russian missile strikes persists throughout the country, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The presence of Russian submarines and their capability to launch missiles poses a significant threat to Ukraine's security. The conflict between Ukraine and Russia has been ongoing since 2014, with frequent clashes and military activity in the region. The situation remains tense, with both sides engaging in military activities and diplomatic efforts to resolve the conflict proving ineffective.

The use of submarines equipped with cruise missiles by Russian forces highlights the ongoing challenges faced by Ukraine in its struggle against Russian aggression. The threat of missile strikes is a constant reminder of the need for continued vigilance and preparedness to protect the country's citizens and national security. The situation in the Black Sea remains a major concern, with Russian naval activity and the presence of military assets posing a significant threat to stability in the region.
