(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) ANKARA, March 25 (KUNA) -- The Turkish Foreign Ministry on Saturday condemned the latest desecration of the Quran and the Turkish flag in Denmark.
The official news agency, Anadolu, quoted a ministry statement as saying, "We condemn in the strongest terms the vile attack on our holy book the Quran and our glorious flag in Denmark."
Allowing such practices at pretext of freedom of expression is utterly rejected, the Turkish Foreign Ministry statement said.
A group of radical activists, on Friday, burned a copy of the Quran and the Turkish Flag outside the Turkish embassy in Copenhagen. The attackers uttered anti-Islam rhetoric during the attack. (end)
