National Iranian Drilling Company Reports Infrastructure Improvement as Key Achievement

(MENAFN) The National Iranian Drilling Company (NIDC) has announced that its infrastructure improvement in line with the programs of the Oil Ministry is the most significant achievement of the company in the current Iranian calendar year. Speaking at the company's annual board meeting, NIDC's head, Hamidreza Golpayegani, highlighted the significant progress made by NIDC in various operational, technical, engineering, support, services, and headquarters departments in the current year compared to the past two years.

According to the statistics of the company's planning department, the productivity index has reached 62 percent this year, compared to 48 percent in the previous year. While this year's performance in all sectors shows growth and an upward trend, Golpayegani emphasized that the company should not be satisfied and must strive to achieve an even better position next year.

One of the company's strengths is the use of 64 drilling rigs out of its total of 73 rigs in the current year. Golpayegani explained that NIDC has reached cooperation agreements with National Iranian South Oil Company (NISOC), Iranian Central Oil Fields Company (ICOFC), and other companies. As a result, it is expected that all of the company's rigs will be used next year, and in this regard, reconstruction and renovation of drilling machines and equipment overhauling are on the agenda.

During the first 11 months of the current Iranian calendar year (March 21, 2022-February 19, 2023), NIDC successfully dug and completed the operations of 93 oil and gas wells. The company's performance in various departments, including operational, technical, engineering, support, services, and headquarters, has improved significantly in the current year compared to the past two years.

The improved infrastructure of NIDC in line with the programs of the Oil Ministry is a significant achievement that will enhance the company's drilling capabilities and contribute to Iran's oil and gas industry's growth and development. The increase in the productivity index is also a positive sign that the company is moving in the right direction. The cooperation agreements reached between NIDC and other oil companies in Iran will play a crucial role in utilizing the company's drilling rigs more efficiently and effectively. NIDC's determination to achieve an even better position next year is a testament to the company's commitment to continuous improvement and success.
