Visitors had the opportunity to learn about Sharjah and its engaging vision of the emirate's tourism past, present, and future during ITB Berlin 2023, when the Sharjah Trade and Tourism Development Authority (SCTDA) displayed their creatively designed pavilion. During three days, the pavilion-which was fueled by the most cutting-edge digital technologies-was a hive of activity and business networking, giving guests a vivid view of Sharjah's top tourist attractions.
A thrilling voyage that encompasses adventure, culture, and sustainability was promised by the emirate's diverse natural and man-made environments. In a series of meetings with visiting business people, leaders in the sector, and possible partners, the SCTDA led a delegation of 15 governmental and private organizations, tourist office representatives, and travel companies from Sharjah who discussed emerging investment opportunities in tourism.
The Sharjah delegation representatives highlighted their efforts and innovations in the fields of sustainable tourism, eco-tourism, adventure tourism, and cultural tourism at the event's numerous discussion forums. Over time, Sharjah has become one of the region's leaders in these fields, which are vital to promoting and protecting our natural environment and socioeconomic history.
Khorfakkan's designation as the Best Arab Tourist City for 2023 by the Arab Union for Tourist Media marked another significant accomplishment for Sharjah Tourism at ITB Berlin.
The declaration was made at an award ceremony that took place at ITB Berlin. Sharjah's breathtakingly diversified natural beauty, which includes clean beaches and rough hilly terrain, along with the town's distinctive cultural legacy, combine to provide tourists and visitors with a variety of exploration options.
