Abul-Gheit: Saudi-Iranian Pact Good Step For Regional Stability

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) CAIRO, March 11 (KUNA) -- Arab League Secretary General Ahmad Abul-Gheit stated Saturday that the Saudi-Iranian agreement to resume diplomatic ties is important for regional stability.
'This move could usher in a new positive phase of Saudi-Iranian relations that could help achieve stability in the region,' Abul-Gheit tweeted.
He added that this agreement closes a chapter of tensed relations that lasted for seven years between the two countries. (end)
