IEA Welcomes Saudi-Iranian Rapprochement

(MENAFN- Pajhwok Afghan News) KABUL (Pajhwok): The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan has welcomed the resumption of diplomatic relations between Saudi Arabia and Iran.

Abdul Qahar Balkhi, spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, tweeted:“IEA welcomes the resumption of diplomatic relations between KSA and IR of Iran.”

He called the deal a positive initiative and a significant step toward strengthening peace and stability in the region.

The spokesman wrote the IEA deemed the diplomatic breakthrough between Saudi Arabia and Iran helpful for multilateral relations and cooperation in the region.

He added:“We also thank China for hosting the talks between Saudi and Iran for a stable region.”
