British-Moroccan Model Nora Attal Showcases Lanvin's Latest Collection at Paris Fashion Week

(MENAFN) At Paris Fashion Week, British-Moroccan model Nora Attal was chosen to present French luxury label Lanvin's new collection. The fashion show took place inside the historic arches of Paris' thirteenth-century College of Bernardins, where references to various styles from different eras, such as the 1940s, 1980s, 18th century, medieval, and Renaissance, could be observed. Despite this fusion of styles, Lanvin's fall-winter collection was a pared-down affair that exuded simple elegance and was intentionally lacking in adornments and embellishments, according to The Associated Press.

The fashion show featured some interesting details, such as stud-like polka-dots on shirts, slit skirt-suits, and coats. A pink 1940s coat with sloping shoulders also became a statement piece in textured pink. Meanwhile, a black satin gown with a diagonal dynamic cleverly matched the angle of the stone arches in the decor behind.

The simplicity of the Lanvin fall-winter collection belied the passion of the designer, Bruno Sialelli. The house quoted the Swedish-American sculptor Claes Oldenburg, who passed away last year, as saying, "Making things What fun! And things being made, Go away!"

Nora Attal showcased a black coat with subtly sloping shoulders during the fashion show, paired with a black button shirt and floor-grazing trousers. Overall, the show was a display of understated elegance that celebrated the beauty of simplicity.
