UAE Tcaditional Cuisine Is Authentically Flavored In Emirati Cooking Competitions

A number of events, shows, and contests have been planned by the Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation's pavilion at the Heritage Village of the Sheikh Zayed Festival, including a series of traditional cooking competitions that highlight genuine Emirati food.

The pavilion is one of the most well-known locations at the festival each year because it plays a significant role in highlighting the festival's message, the growth and progression of the international event, and expressing its educational message for the UAE residents and visitors of different nationalities who participate in this heritage event.

During the course of 120 days, daily cooking contests for the best Emirati dishes will be held with the involvement of neighborhood chefs and foodies, and will be attended by foodies and culinary connoisseurs with a passion for genuine Emirati cuisine.

The traditional culinary competition consists of eight competitions in total, each lasting a total of 12 days, during which time each dish provided daily will be tasted, judged, and given a point total, with the ultimate decision being made on the 12th day.

Al Jami, Al Memroosa, Al Khadid, Al Thwaba, Al Bzar, Al Qoras, Al Ajar, and Al Yaqat are the eight primary dishes that will be featured in the competitions. At the conclusion of each competition, the results will be revealed, and each competitor is free to select which of the eight dishes to prepare.

In order to produce their chosen food, participants are encouraged to use only ingredients and flavors that are historically accurate.

In addition to encouraging visitors and UAE citizens to learn more about Emirati cuisine and promote it internationally, this event strives to introduce and preserve Emirati culinary traditions for future generations.–WAM
