Chairman of JSC Ukrzaliznytsia Oleksandr Kamyshin Resigns to Head European Integration Office


(MENAFN) Oleksandr Kamyshin, the Chairman of the Board of JSC Ukrzaliznytsia, has announced his resignation from the post. In a statement on Telegram, Kamyshin explained that he will be heading the office for European integration of Ukrzaliznytsia in Europe as per a joint decision with Vice Prime Minister Oleksandr Kubrakov. Kamyshin added that despite his resignation, the railway will continue to operate according to schedule, even amidst the ongoing war.

Kamyshin expressed gratitude to President Volodymyr Zelensky, Vice Prime Minister Kubrakov, and his colleagues for the high evaluation of his work during his tenure as Chairman of the Board. He had been serving as the acting Chairman of the Board of Ukrzaliznytsia since August 2021 and was appointed as the Chairman of the Board on a permanent basis for a period of four years in March 2022.

Ukrzaliznytsia is Ukraine's state-owned railway company and is responsible for rail transportation of both passengers and goods throughout the country. With Kamyshin's departure, the company will now have to appoint a new Chairman to take on the responsibility of overseeing and managing its operations.
