Hexarad will partner with RadCast to establish the Hexarad Hub and run a series of community events

British Radiology company, Hexarad is partnering with RadCast to open a new teleradiology reporting hub in Dubai, expanding its footprint outside the UK for the first time. The Hexarad Hub in Dubai will be spearheaded by Consultant Radiologist Dr Jamie Howie, one of the founders of RadCast who will also be responsible for organising a series of radiology-focused educational and community social events in Dubai.

Hexarad's teleradiology service is one of the fastest growing in the UK, with a strong customer base across the NHS and private healthcare. The ongoing global shortage of radiologists has continued to put pressure on healthcare services as they struggle to clear their growing diagnostic backlogs. Despite this, Hexarad has consistently attracted new radiologists to report through its platform and has been able to deliver on the rising demand for its services.

Hexarad CCO Dr Amy Davis said:“With the demand for scan reporting as high as it has ever been, this felt like a great time for us to expand into our first international reporting hub. This expansion is not only going to mean that we can provide additional reporting to new and existing customers, but we're also going to be able to establish a radiology community around the hub with our educational and social event series.

“We are very excited to be working with RadCast and have the brilliant Jamie Howie launching the Hub and the event series. Jamie will be bringing all his experience and expertise in educational content for radiology and will be at the heart of the radiology community we build in Dubai.”

RadCast is a grassroots initiative focused on creating radiology education resources. Co-founded by three radiologists, they have created the biggest radiologist-focused podcast worldwide and have built a loyal community promoting high quality educational content on radiology.

Jamie Howie, Co-Founder of RadCast and Head of the Hexarad Hub in Dubai, said:“I am delighted to be leading the launch of Hexarad Hub Dubai. From our first meeting it was clear that Hexarad and RadCast have aligned values and the opportunity to formally work together, particularly on such an exciting venture, was something not to miss. I look forward to establishing a base for Hexarad in Dubai and attracting talented radiologists to join the project. For more information about what we are planning listen to the latest episode of RadCast, due out on 3rd March 2023 and available on all major podcast platforms.”

The Hexarad reporting hub in Dubai will open in Spring 2023, and Hexarad has already begun the recruitment process for Dubai-based radiologists to report through the hub.
