Giorgio Armani presents soft, fluid looks at Milan Fashion Week

(MENAFN) The fashion world is buzzing after the Fall/Winter 2023 Giorgio Armani show, which marked the close of Milan Fashion Week. Tunisian Italian model Afef Jnifen and Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea International film Festival CEO Mohammed Al-Turki were among the front-row guests, with Al-Turki even getting a chance to shake hands with the 88-year-old designer after the show.

Armani was quick to offer praise about Al-Turki's chic all-white outfit, which was perfectly paired with the sophisticated ambiance of the event.

Armani's new collection for his main, eponymous line was a true sight to behold, as he presented plenty of soft, fluid looks that have become his signature style over the years.

The show opened with beige and bronze creations that included smooth long dresses and roomy trousers, as well as loose macs and tops. Models graced the runway in silky pyjama-like shirts and trousers, as well as dresses, some of which were layered with elongated jackets or long dresses on top of trousers.

The designer also incorporated plenty of black into his collection, mixing it with pink for ensuing designs. Day wear included velvet pinstripe suits and black jackets worn with shiny pink trousers, while black dresses with pink floral embroidery were perfect for the evening. Beaded belts or sequins added a touch of shine to black evening suits and frocks, giving them an extra dose of glamour.

In addition to the clothes, accessories also played a key role in the show. Two-tone brogues were paired with many of the outfits, while fringed shawls and berets with beaded fringes added a touch of elegance to the overall look.

The winter collection for his second line, Emporio Armani, was presented earlier in the week, where the designer showcased more casual, sporty pieces. Meanwhile, the premiere womenswear trade fair, White Milano, worked with the Fashion Minority Alliance to promote a conversation around diversity.

They featured two Black designers, US designer Romeo Hunte and Nigerian-Scottish designer Olubuyi Thomas, who look to their environments for inspiration and are keen on garments that can be transformed to serve multiple purposes.

All in all, Milan Fashion Week has once again proven to be a major event in the world of fashion, showcasing some of the industry's top talent and inspiring us with the latest trends and designs.
