Trump suggests Ukraine may be responsible for Nord Stream pipeline destruction


(MENAFN) Former United States President Donald Trump has claimed that Ukraine has "total dominance" over the US and suggested that the country may have been involved in the destruction of Russia's Nord Stream pipelines in October last year. In an interview with Glenn Beck, Trump commented on a recent report by veteran journalist Seymour Hersh that suggested the pipelines were targeted in a clandestine operation ordered by President Joe Biden. While not ruling out US involvement, Trump disputed allegations that Moscow was responsible for the destruction and claimed that it could have been Ukraine or a third-party country that wants to cause trouble. Trump suggested that the United States might have been "working in conjunction" with Ukraine to target the pipelines, citing the country's dominant position over the United States.

Trump also criticized those who blame Russia for everything and claimed that Ukraine has received substantial financial support from the United States and Europe. He suggested that Kiev may have been behind the destruction of the pipelines to disrupt Russian income, as he believes that Russia would not have destroyed a source of massive income for them.

The former president's comments come amid ongoing tensions between the United States, Ukraine, and Russia, with Ukraine accusing Russia of aggression and seeking increased support from the United States and Europe. Meanwhile, Russia has criticized the United States and its allies for interfering in Ukraine's affairs and engaging in provocative actions.
