(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) RIAYDH, Feb 21 (KUNA) -- The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Secretary General Jassem Mohammad Al-Budaiwi, and Malaysia's Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr. Zambry Abdul Kadir met in Riyadh, Tuesday, discussing earlier ways to bolster cooperation on all possible fields.
They tackled these issues in line with the framework agreement of economic, commercial, investments, and technical cooperation signed between both sides back in 2011.
The meeting touched on means to enhance the strategic dialogue between the GCC countries and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), after 13 years of initiating it back in 2009. Malaysia is the ASEAN coordinator for the GCC affairs for the current year.
Meanwhile, Abdul Kadir offered his congratulations to Al-Budaiwi on the occasion of assuming office, wishing him further success and progress in his mission. (end)
