Moderate Earthquake Hits Northern Japan


(MENAFN- Trend News Agency) A magnitude 5.0 earthquake hit norther Japan on Sunday, the European Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) said, trend reports citing tass .

According to RMSC, the epicenter of the quake was located at a depth of 112 kilometers some nine kilometers from the city of Obihiro with a population of 173,000.

No casualties or damage were reported. No tsunami warning was issued.
