Putin: Rearrangement of logistic ways Gazprom's main task

(MENAFN) Russian President Vladimir Putin gave a video address on Friday in honor of the 30th anniversary of Gazprom, the Russian gas giant. Putin acknowledged the complicated task that Gazprom faces as it realigns its logistics routes and consolidates in new markets. Despite the challenges, Putin praised Gazprom for showing resilience and continuing to forge ahead despite attempts at unfair competition from outside forces.

Putin emphasized the growing demand for gas, particularly in the Asia-Pacific region, and the need for the development of energy infrastructure in the East of Russia. According to Putin, global gas consumption has nearly doubled over the past 30 years and is expected to increase by at least 20% in the next 20 years. More than half of this increase is expected to come from Asia, particularly China, given the rapid growth of its economy.

Finally, Putin congratulated the 490,000 employees of Gazprom on the company's 30th anniversary. The company has faced significant challenges over the years, including sanctions and accusations of monopolistic practices, but Putin's message indicates that the company remains a vital part of the Russian energy industry and the global market for natural gas.
