AND Arrests 6 Suspected Drug Dealers

AMMAN - Anti-Narcotics Department (AND) personnel have arrested six suspected drug dealers in connection with three separate cases in Amman, the northern Badia and Ramtha, the Public Security Directorate spokesperson announced on Saturday.

In the Amman case, AND personnel collected information regarding one of the drug dealers, after which an operation was conducted and the suspect was arrested in possession of 38 palm-sized sheets of hashish and 6,000 narcotic pills, the spokesperson said, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.

In Ramtha, two suspected drug dealers, including one of a non-Jordanian nationality, were arrested while in their vehicle, and 1 kilogramme of crystal meth was seized.

In the northern Badia region, police conducted raids and searches of three homes of suspected drug dealers and wanted individuals, which led to the arrest of the individuals, who were found in possession of various quantities of ready-to-sell narcotics, along with four firearms.
