Iran’s shipments of Flowers, ornamental plants surge needs massive output


(MENAFN) Statistics indicate that in the past 20 years, the request for purchasing ornamental flowers has been rising global.

It has also taken a rising trend inside Iran, so that the cultivation of flowers and ornamental plants has grew appreciably and the figure of output units has now amounted to 15,000.

In the past, Mahalat city, in central Markazi district, was believed to be the center of the flower output in Iran, but currently additional important cities have been further to Mahalat.

Tehran province is one of the biggest cities with 3,200 output units in the cultivation of cut flowers in addition seasonal flowering plants, Mazandaran district with the cultivation of apartment plants as well as plants for green spaces, Mahalat city in the cultivation of flowering plants on top of cut flowers, and the districts of Isfahan, Kerman, Khorasan and East Azarbaijan are placed next in the following.
