Antalya: A Shura Council delegation participated in the Asian Parliamentary Assembly (APA) meetings held today, January 8, in Antalya, Turkey. This is in preparation for the two-day 13th Plenary Session under the title 'Promoting Multilateralism in the Changing Global Dynamics'.
The meetings reviewed several technical and administrative reports as well as draft decisions, including: towards an Asian Parliament, the rule of law and judicial empowerment, good parliamentary practices, building prosperity in Asia through friendship and cooperation, harmonious development through democracy, Asian parliaments unwavering support for the Palestinian people, and enhancing cooperation among APA members to protect and promote multilateralism.
The Asian Parliamentary Assembly (APA) is the second largest parliamentary group in the world after the Inter-Parliamentary Union.
