Russia Keeps11 Warships, Including Three Missile Carriers, Off Crimea Coast - Ukraine Navy


(MENAFN- UkrinForm) In the Black Sea on December 24, Russia keeps on combat duty 11 warships, three of them carrying Kalibrs with a total salvo of 20 cruise missiles.

That's according to the Ukrainian navy , Ukrinform reports.

'Up to 11 enemy warships are on combat duty in the Black Sea, of which three carry Kalibr cruise missiles with a total salvo of 20 missiles; in the Sea of Azov, the enemy continues to control sea communications, keeping up to two ships on combat duty; in the Mediterranean Sea they have nine ships, five of them carrying Kalibr cruise missiles, the total salvo is 72 missiles,' the statement reads.

Throughout the day, in the interests of the Russian Federation, 30 vessels passed through the Kerch-Yenikal Strait toward the Sea of Azov, of which two were moving from the Bosphorus Strait; 25 ships – toward the Black Sea, of which 10 continued their movement in the direction of the Bosphorus Strait.

According to the Navy, the Russian Federation continues to violate the 1974 International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS) by turning off automatic identification systems (AIS) on civilian vessels in the Sea of Azov.

As reported by Ukrinform, with reference to Oleksiy Danilov, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, Russia has enough missiles for three or four massive strikes at Ukraine.
