7Th Kairouan Festival Of Arabic Poetry Kicks Off Next Friday

(MENAFN- Emirates News Agency (WAM)) SHARJAH, 18th December, 2022 (WAM) -- Under the patronage of H.H. Dr. sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and ruler of Sharjah, Tunisia will host the activities of the Kairouan Festival of Arabic Poetry in its seventh edition, from 23rd to 25th December, 2022, at the House of Wisdom in Carthage, in the presence of a large number of Tunisian and Arab poets and intellectuals.
Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Owais, Head of the Department of Culture in Sharjah, said that poetry houses in the Arab world represent unique literary models and centres through festivals that are held periodically in Arab countries. He pointed out that the Kairouan Festival of Arabic Poetry, in its seventh edition, continues a poetic and literary journey. He added that the Kairouan Festival of Arabic Poetry constitutes a space for Tunisian and Arab creatives to exchange their experiences and enrich the Arab and world literary arena with their best creative works.
The activities of the Kairouan Festival for Arabic Poetry will conclude at the House of Poetry in Kairouan, on Sunday, 25th December, 2022, with various poetry readings and honouring of the participants.
