Yermak, Sullivan Discuss Support For Ukraine In Winter Period


(MENAFN- UkrinForm) Head of the President's Office Andriy Yermak had a phone call with U.S. National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan to discuss the support for Ukraine to help it get through the winter period.

“Andriy Yermak informed the interlocutor about the operational situation on the frontline, as well as about the possible actions of Russia, which it is preparing in order to continue terror against the civilian population of Ukraine,” the President's Office informs .

The parties also discussed the provision of support to Ukraine to help it get through the winter period.

Yermak thanked the US for supporting the Grain from Ukraine humanitarian program launched by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky on November 26. The Head of the President's Office emphasized that the implementation of this initiative will help countries in Africa and Asia, which are on the brink of starvation due to Russia's blocking of Ukrainian food export routes.

The Head of the President's Office thanked Sullivan, U.S. President Joe Biden, Congress, and the entire American people for supporting Ukraine in the fight for freedom, justice and a safe future for all countries of the world.

As reported, the United States announced plans to provide $53 million to Ukraine to purchase equipment to repair and restore power grids damaged in Russian missile attacks.
