Iran asks US President a sarcastic question
(MENAFN) Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman lashed out at a statement by President Joe Biden that the U.S. is "standing with" Iranian women, derisively asking Biden “did your Max Sanx excluded Iranian women and mothers” from “economic terrorism” under Washington’s “maximum pressure” drive against whole Iranian people.
Nasser Kanani shared in a post on his Twitter account when Biden said in an official declaration that his government stands with Iranian women and their human rights calls amid foreign-backed uprisings in certain cities in the nation.
In the declaration, which was released on the event of International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, Biden announced, “We stand with the women of Iran, who are facing down violence and oppression to demand their human rights and fundamental freedoms.”
Replying to Biden’s claim, Kanaani stressed the United Sates’ more than 40 years of restrictions targeted at Iran.
Washington's restrictions even included the import of medicine for Iranian butterfly patients diagnosed with epidermolysis bullosa (EB), a disease that leads to fragile, blistering skin.
As reported by Press TV, Kanani announced Biden’s claim of support for Iranian women came as Washington has “left no stone unturned in showing enmity and cruelty” toward the people of Iran and “had no mercy in imposing economic terrorism even against Butterfly kids.”
“President of a regime that for +40yrs has left no stone unturned in showing enmity and cruelty toward Iranian nation and had no mercy in imposing ‘Economic Terrorism’ even against Butterfly kids, claims to stand with women of Iran,” the Foreign Ministry spokesman said on Twitter, asking, “If so, did your Max Sanx excluded Iranian women and mothers?”
