Kuwait FM, UK Official Discuss Ties On Sidelines Of Manama Dialogue

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) MANAMA, Nov 19 (KUNA) -- Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Sheikh Salem Abdullah Al-Jaber Al-Sabah met Saturday with the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs of Great Britain and Northern Ireland James Cleverly on the sidelines of the Manama Dialogue 2022.
The British official congratulated Sheikh Salem on being appointed as foreign minister, wishing him success and the Kuwaiti-UK ties further prosperity.
The two sides also touched on ways of boosting political, security and economic cooperation between the two countries.
Moreover, they expressed common aspiration to hold the first strategic dialogue between Kuwait and the UK at the level of foreign ministers.
The latest global and regional developments were discussed during the meeting. (end)
