Qatar Cancer Society (QCS) and Ebn Sina Medical, the local agent for F Hoffman La Roche, have signed a co-operation agreement to support awareness efforts in cancer control and to develop innovative programmes to empower people living with the disease.
The three-year agreement was signed by QCS chairman sheikh Dr Khalid bin Jabor al-Thani, Ebn Sina general manager Dr Essam Faragalla and Roche Gulf general manager Dr Ahmed Tawfik.
Sheikh Dr Khalid valued the efforts of Roche in the health sector and in charitable and humanitarian work, especially supporting the awareness efforts led by QCS in cancer control and enhancing its role in focusing on innovation and development of the programmes.
“Roche has always been a close partner to QCS in the fight against cancer, raising public awareness and supporting people living with cancer hence this co-operation agreement solidifies our commitment to deliver better outcomes for more patients, faster,” said Dr Tawfik.
“As we are celebrating our 125th anniversary at Roche, we are very excited to experience through this agreement what our extended global network can deliver to our patients and medical community in Qatar,” he added.
