Tunnel boring machine built in China will be sent to Turkey
(MENAFN) A big tunnel-boring equipment produced in China just rolled off the production line in Tianjin Municipality, north China, and will be sent to Turkey in December.
According to the business, the tunnel-boring machine, which was independently developed and constructed by China Railway Engineering Equipment Group (Tianjin) Co., Ltd (CREG), would be the largest in diameter shipped from China to Turkey.
The equipment will be used in a Turkish drainage tunnel project to deliver water for agricultural and inhabitants while also improving living conditions. Because the tunnel is located in a stratum with significant concentrations of gas under challenging geological circumstances, its fire resistance, explosion-proof, and stability have been reinforced to ensure safety during excavations.
CREG tunnel-boring machines have been supplied to over 30 countries and regions for key projects. These nations include France and Lebanon, according to Zhao Hua, chairman of CREG, who also stated that China-made tunnel-boring equipment are actively supporting tunnel building projects across the world.
