Al-Awadi Presents His Credentials As Kuwait's Ambassador To UK


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) LONDON, Nov 10 (KUNA) -- Bader Al-Awadi presented his credentials on Thursday to the British monarch, King Charles III, as ambassador of Kuwait to the UK.
The credentials presentation ceremony took place at Buckingham Palace, where the ambassador conveyed the greetings of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
Speaking to KUNA on this occasion, Al-Awadi expressed his honor in winning the Kuwaiti leadership's confidence and being appointed as Kuwait's ambassador in London.
Al-Awadi said Kuwait's leadership and people appreciate and are proud of the historic strategic partnership with the UK, which span over 123 years, expressing his aspiration to move the prestigious level of these close relations to broader horizons at all spectrums.
Al-Awadi becomes the eighth ambassador of the State of Kuwait accredited to the Court of St. James and the first Arab Ambassador to present his credentials to King Charles III after his accession to the throne.
To celebrate this occasion, Ambassador Al-Awadi held a reception at his residence, attended by several senior British officials, ambassadors, diplomats and members of the Kuwaiti diplomatic mission and heads of office. (end)
