(MENAFN- UkrinForm) The Ukrainian man-portable air-defense system crew has detected and shot down Russia's Iskander-K missile, approaching the city of Zaporizhzhia. The relevant statement was made by the East Air Command on , an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“One more cruise missile from Rostov has not reached the target. Today the man-portable air-defense system crew has detected and shot at the enemy Iskander-K missile, flying towards the city of Zaporizhzhia,” the report states.
As a result, the Russian missile changed its course and fell in a deserted place.
The Ukrainian soldier who operated the man-portable air-defense system will be recommended for a reward for“skilful and timely actions”, the East Air Command noted.
