Iran, Turkey agree on new deals around gas shipments


(MENAFN) National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC) has agreed on additional deals with Turkey’s state-owned BOTAS Petroleum Pipeline Corporation on gas shipment to the regional nation, as stated by a senior representative with NIGC on Sunday.

National Iranian Gas Company Dispatching Director Mohammadreza Jolaei stated that some expert-level gatherings have been hosted among the two companies and new deals have been agreed on.

As said by Jolaei, with the deals and coordination established among Iranian and Turkish gas representatives, every technical, operational as well as executive procedures for shipping Iranian gas to neighboring Turkey are going to be concluded within the upcoming six months.

The stated procedures involve functioning strategies, repairs and maintenance services, cathodic protection, coverage of gas pipelines among Iran and Turkey, as well as renovation of Bazargan Station in addition to other cases assigned to the gas shipments from Iran to boarding Turkey, he went further on.
