Environmental, social and governance (ESG) criteria are starting to play a big part in the decision-making process for investors.
However, ESG themes are becoming more and more changing to identify.
Companies have rushed to appeal to the market with promising looking ESG plans only to backtrack on promises. So-called greenwashing is also becoming more common.
Greenwashing is the process of conveying a false impression or providing misleading information about how a company's products are more environmentally sound, and some companies are taking this shortcut to try to appeal to investors who're concerned about ESG themes.
Against this backdrop, investors face a huge challenge. How do they separate those companies that really care from those that don't?
We will attempt to answer this question on Wednesday the 28th of September at 9 am EST in a FREE webinar hosted by ValueWalk titled:“How Should Investors React to The Changing ESG Environment?” Sponsored by Southern Asset Management.
We've gathered a panel of experienced investors and environmental commentators to speak on the topic and discuss what investors should be looking out for and how they should change their processes to uncover the most attractive ESG stocks.
Panellists include:
Joan Michelson, ESG consultant and the host and executive producer of the ELECTRIC LADIES podcast
Mike Chen the head of Robeco Alternative Alpha Research Group
Lefeng Lin, hybrid fund manager at Southern Asset Management
Cary Krosinsky a leading author and advisor on sustainable finance who also teaches at Brown, Yale and NYU.
The panel and Q&A session will last for approximately 60 minutes during which time the panellists will cover a range of topics related to the ESG space and related investment themes.
