Seven Grain Ships Leave Ukrainian Seaports


(MENAFN- UkrinForm) Seven more ships with Ukrainian agricultural products departed from the ports of Odesa and Pivdennyi on October 15 under the Black Sea Grain Initiative.

The press service of Ukraine's Ministry of Infrastructure said this in a post, Ukrinform reports.

According to the report, the ships are loaded with 101,000 tonnes of foodstuffs, which will be delivered to countries in Asia and Europe.

Since the departure of the first ship with Ukrainian food, including today's ships, Ukraine has exported 7.5 million tonnes of agricultural products.

In total, 341 grain ships left Ukrainian ports for countries in Asia, Europe and Africa.

On July 22 in Istanbul, at the proposal of the United Nations, Ukraine, Turkey, and UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres signed the Initiative on the Safe Transportation of Grain and Foodstuffs from the Ukrainian ports of Odesa, Chornomorsk, and Pivdennyi.

The first ship carrying a load of Ukrainian food products left the port of Odesa on August 1.
