Jordan: Training On Digital Customs Clearance With Brazil

(MENAFN- Brazil-Arab News Agency (ANBA))

São Paulo – The technology and Innovation team of the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (ABCC) is in Amman, Jordan, to train the country's customs authority on the Easy Trade system, which allows customs clearance to be processed fully in digital format. The ABCC is represented by CEO & secretary-general Tamer Mansour, Technology and Innovation director Marcos Bulgarelli, and Business analyst Laércio dos Santos.

Training for Jordan customs

This Wednesday (28), the team began training for representatives of the Jordanian Customs, with the presence of the Brazilian ambassador to Amman, Ruy Amaral, and the director-general of the local customs authority, Jalal Al-Qudah. On Thursday (29), training will be held for importers and customs brokers in Jordan.

The system has been used since September last year with an agreement between Jordan's Customs and the ABCC. Through it, documentation of Brazilian exports to Jordan is issued and verified electronically, saving cost and time.

The digital process is carried out within the Easy Trade system, which is part the ABCC's digital platform Ellos. The platform includes other digital facilitations for Brazil's foreign trade with Arab countries and uses blockchain technology. Inside Easy Trade, scanned documents are made available digitally for checking and validation by the competent authorities in the country of destination of the cargo, ensuring faster, easier, and cheaper clearance.
