Zelensky Awards Serhii Sova Title Of Hero Of Ukraine Posthumously

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky awarded senior soldier Serhii Sova the title of Hero of Ukraine posthumously.

Decree No. 666/2022 was published on the website of the Head of State.

'For the personal courage and heroism shown in the defense of the state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, loyalty to the military oath, I decree to award senior soldier Serhii Sova the title of Hero of Ukraine with the Order of the Gold Star (posthumously),' the document reads.

As reported, the body of fallen Serhii Sova with a yellow-blue bracelet on his arm was exhumed in the town of Izium, Kharkiv region, liberated from the Russian invaders. The wife recognized the soldier by his tattoo.

Serhii Sova defended Ukraine as part of the 93rd Independent Kholodnyi Yar Mechanized Brigade since 2014. Since April 19, 2022, he was considered missing.
