(MENAFN- KNN India) 26,000 MSMEs registered under fragrance and flavour sector so far

New Delhi, Sept 23 (KNN) Under Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) in the fragrance and flavour sector about 26,000 industries have been registered up to now, said B. B. Swain, Secretary MSME.

Addressing the Fragrance Business Summit by FICCI, he highlighted India's potential to grow and meet the demands both domestically and internationally.

He assured that for the progress and development of fragrance industry in India the Ministry would lend all the possible support.

“It is important to handhold industries with suitable interventions in sustainable technology and infrastructure as a large number of MSME players are part of this sector,” added Swain.

He also pressed on the importance to build a sustainable supply chain, strengthening each link in it.

To offer technology and skilling support to the MSMEs the Ministry has set up a Fragrance & Flavour Development Centre at Kannauj. (KNN Bureau)
